Hillsboro Water Treatment Plant
Project includes the construction of a new 3.5 million gallons/day water treatment plant and raw water pumping station with approximately 8,000 lineal feet of raw water transmission main from the existing Hillsboro lake. The water treatment plant building is two stories and approximately 21,000 square feet in area. The raw water pump station building is 1,000 square feet in area. Major process equipment includes a head tank, four 18-foot diameter decelerating filters and two 42-foot diameter claricones. Site work includes the construction of a 500,000 gallon reinforced concrete clearwell, a water treatment plant waste lift station and three 34’ x 408’ settling ditches along with necessary site piping and discharge structures.
